Fire Science: A Week of Ignition, Adventure, and Real-Life Firefighting! Ready to light up your curiosity and dive into the sizzling world of fire? Join us for an action-packed week of fire science, learning from real-life firefighters! You'll explore everything from how fire burns and spreads to the cool science behind wildfires, neighborhood blazes, and even the special gear firefighters use to stay safe. But we're not just talking about it—we're doing it! Throughout the week, you'll get your hands dirty with fire experiments and activities, all while learning how to fight fires and keep communities safe. You'll visit various Fire Stations around the valley, check out real firefighting equipment, meet the local heroes who protect our valley, and listen to key lessons learned from local fires. You'll also head out into the field for exciting, hands-on challenges that will have you thinking like a firefighter, engineer, and scientist all at once! This camp is perfect for kids who are ready to face the heat, experiment with fire science, and discover how the world fights and prevents fires—safely, smartly, and with a whole lot of fun!
Due to the popularity of our camps, we ask that you cancel your camper’s spot prior to May 1st for a full refund (minus the credit card processing fee). If you need to cancel after May 1st and 14 days prior to the camp start date, cancellation refunds will be 50% – minus the credit card processing fee. NO REFUNDS are given for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the start of the camp. We understand that life happens, especially emergencies and we will try our best to work with you if you need to cancel. In the event that the Aspen Science Center has to cancel a class, a full refund will be issued.
